Best Universities of India

There is a good news for Indian Universities as India seems to be improving in the Asia’s Best Ranked Institutions as compared to last year’s rankings undertaken by the Times Higher education (THE) magazine.

In 2014, India’s 10 Institutions are in Top 100 including Punjab University and 9 other Institutions including IIT’s. The Times Higher Education (THE) magazine mentioned India as the most improved country among Asian Nations for increasing its tally from just 3 in 2013 to 10 in 2014.

Ranks in Asia: 2014

1.    Punjab University (32)  – Not ranked in 2013
2.    Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (45) – Dropped from 30 rank in 2013

Interestingly Punjab University surpasses all the IIT’s and ranked 32nd in the Global Asian ranking. University with alumni consisting of heavy weights like Former Prime of India Dr. Manmohan Singh, Khushwant Singh and Kiran Bedi, ranked on 13 different parameters including Teaching, Research, Knowledge, transfer and international outlook and more. It is a great news for Indian education system which is now competing strongly with its Global counterparts. Phil Baty said that Asian universities are doing far better on Global front and posing a competition to their elite western counterparts.
