Nowadays, simply obtaining an undergraduate degree cannot ascertain you a sure shot lucrative career. In order to improve your chances of obtaining a career which you always dreamt of, what is actually required is a master’s degree in your area of interest. Students are often filled with joy, happiness and anxiety after finishing their undergraduate program and forget that it’s not the end of the road. As far as a masters degree is concerned, in today’s world there are two specialist which are in great demand, which are MBA and M.Tech. This is when the students need to make one of the most important decisions which can help them in deciding their career moves in the future.
The thing with M.Tech is that it can only be pursued by students who have already obtained their B.Tech degree from a recognized institution such as Engineering Colleges in Punjab or Engineering Colleges in Chandigarh. However when it comes to MBA, any student who has successfully obtained a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution can go on to pursue an MBA.
While making a choice between MBA and M.Tech, a student must keep in mind his/her aspirations. A person who is technically sound and who always wished to pursue a career in the field of research and engineering must go for M.Tech. On the other hand, a person who has qualities of a leader, can get things done from others and administers growth for the entire institution can benefit more by pursuing an MBA.
There are lots of known and reputable institutes such as IIM, Fore School of Management etc. which offer master level programs in management. On the other hand, when we speak about M.Tech, Engineering colleges in Chandigarh and Engineering colleges in Punjab open a vast range of avenues for a student who wishes to pursue higher studies in Engineering.
Both MBA and M.Tech have an array of discipline and it’s up to the student to decide as to which area would be the best to specialize in. In case of MBA, a student can undertake dual specialization in various fields such as Marketing, Human resource, Finance, Advertising etc. As far as M.Tech is concerned, the student can continue with the specialization he underwent at his bachelors level such as Mechanical engineering, Chemical engineering, Civil engineering and so on.
Since both these fields are so much in demand therefore getting through them is definitely not a cake walk. There are various entrance exams for MBA such as MAT, CAT, XAT, TISS and the list never ends. There are thousands of students who take these entrance exams every year and only a few deserving students get an admission in these renowned institutions. Similar is the case with M.Tech. In order to pursue entrance exams like GATE or Various universities and institution based exams, one needs immense discipline.
